The dynamics of workshop in small group consists in weekly meetings and it is focuses on 2 fundamental points:
The production and elaboration of own arrangements, taking care of the possible problems, doubts and decisions that could appear at the moment of the realization.
Analysis of reference arrangements and works from the harmonic, contrapuntal, formal, compositional and orchestral points of view.

A study plan is elaborated taking care of two routes of fundamental importance; the analysis and learning of technical tools and the elaboration and interpretation of own material.

Composition, notation and analysis of Tango arrangements
The seminar is focused on providing knowledge and skills to approach aesthetically, stylistically and technically the composition of arrangements based on the vast repertoire that makes up Rioplatense city music. Oriented to arrangers, composers and instrumentalists in general who want to investigate and deepen this field of culture. Exhibition, analysis and notation of the technical elements of tango, their behavior and coexistence in the soloist arrangement and in the various instrumental formations (with and without vocal soloist), passing through the trio, quartet, quintet, until reaching the typical orchestra in their traditional and extended training. The elements that make up an arrangement, writing for the bandoneon, writing for the string and orchestration in general, are analyzed.
Goals:- That students incorporate and develop knowledge and skills to approach aesthetically, stylistically and technically the writing of arrangements based on the vast repertoire of Rioplatense city music.
- That the students acquire knowledge about the different styles of tango and its main characteristics.
- That students incorporate musical notation criteria related to genre.
- Promote new aesthetic searches that renew and revitalize the genre.
- Open a channel that enables knowledge and analysis of the orchestral, ensemble and solo repertoire of the different styles and aesthetics of tango, as well as its main creators and historical-cultural events that influenced its development. - Promote research related to this cultural area. - Promote new aesthetic searches that renew and revitalize the genre. - Preserve our Cultural heritage.

Overview of the history and evolution of instrumental tango
How to achieve without stereotypes that the current tango production has the freshness and spontaneity of the genuine, together with the aroma of its history in an already globalized Buenos Aires? He opens a space to reflect on these problems and outline some possible responses. The course conceived as a historical tour of the evolution of instrumental tango, aims to describe some possible scenarios where this cultural phenomenon originated and developed. Thus, history and music weave an intimate plot impossible to dissociate. We will try to establish and analyze the possible relationships between historical events and musical production and evolution, to then address a stylistic vision of the genre, which allows us to understand and project new horizons of our city music. A historical, musical and stylistic tour of one of the most elaborate events of our musical reality with a strong national identity: The Tango. From the dawn and the first manifestations, their transformations, different styles and aesthetics, to the current panorama of our tango. Exhibition of the technical elements, their transformations and development through the different stages and creators. Audition of recordings, analysis of them and their historical-cultural context. Oriented to musicians in general, historians, and lovers of our city music who want to delve into the value and richness of our cultural heritage.
